Madeleine Sturrock was the driving forcing behind the foundation of the China Advisers Network’s set up in 2007.  CAN provides a forum for China consultancies to discuss the challenges of doing business in China, and PanCathay is an active member.

Madeleine Sturrock was Deputy CEO of the China-Britain Business Council from 1991-2003, overseeing a crucial period in Sino-British relations. PanCathay continues to have good relations with CBBC.

Madeleine Sturrock is Treasurer of the University China Committee in London, which awards funding to postgraduate students undertaking China-related research.

The 48 Group Club

From 1987 to 1990, Madeleine Sturrock was Secretary General of the 48 Group, the first organisation dedicated to furthering business links between the UK and China after 1949.  PanCathay continues to enjoy close links with the 48 Group Club through Madeleine’s honorary membership of the organisation.

The Robes Project

In her own time, Madeleine Sturrock is heavily involved in the organisation of the Robes Project, which coordinates Churches across South London to provide a safe and warm environment for the homeless during the winter months.
